Sustainability
& Reuse

When you donate to theExchange, you’re not only helping local families in need — you’re also making a meaningful impact on the environment. Every year, theExchange diverts thousands of pounds of usable furniture and household goods from the landfill, giving these items a second life in homes where they’re truly needed.

As a community hub for reuse, theExchange plays a vital role in La Crosse’s broader sustainability efforts. By repurposing gently used essentials, we help reduce waste, extend the life of valuable resources, and support our neighbors in building stable, functional living spaces.

Give Stuff

We gratefully accept clean, essential household items in good working condition. theExchange believes that the quality of household items available to neighbors in need is a direct reflection of the program's emphasis upon dignity and respect in all we do.
